What a day at @officialanime307! Thanks for having us, and thanks to everyone who stopped by!
Bridger had a booth in celebrity row and gave a presentation with @robertwalker307 on how to be a hero, but highlight for me was meeting other heroes… the guy at Office Depot, who printed our displays, was wounded while serving in Qatar, and another veteran who told us she heard about Bridger while serving in Georgia (also a wounded warrior!), the girls who stopped by the booth just to tell Bridger how awesome he is, the vendors who chatted with Bridger and made him feel like a star (thanks @ram.booth for the discount too!), the young man who geeked out with Bridger over his new Pokémon cards, and the woman who bought Bridger a giant Kirby plush and just made his entire day. @moonbean21 He’s still grinning!
It is people like these that remind me that the world is full of amazing individuals using their God-given talents to make the world a better place. So many heroes all around us! 🤩

Just dropped my baby off at kindergarten! He went in excited and ready to take on the world. I sobbed the whole way home. 🤦♀️ It`s always bitter sweet when summer ends. I`m excited for the kids and all they are going to learn and experience, but I sure miss them!
The kids were a little extra nervous this year. New school, new teachers, new friends… I pray they have a great day, that their teachers are patient and kind, and that they make tons of new friends. 🙏🙏🙏

July 9th marks 4 years since Bridger got hurt. This time of year always comes with a lot of reflection and introspection.
This morning I was chatting with the kids’ Aunt Nicole (the one who originally posted Bridger’s story.) She apologized and said she sometimes feels guilty for putting the kids in the spotlight like that. It was never a consideration that it could blow up like it did!
My response: Don’t feel guilty! Thank you! Has it come with challenges? Sure! But the net outcome has been overwhelmingly positive. I have been inspired by how many good people there are in the world! We have learned so much as a family and we have grown in so many ways. We are closer and stronger than before. We have met incredible people and had experiences that would have been otherwise impossible. We’ve been able to be a part of something much bigger than ourselves. What a blessing! I find myself wanting more and more to shine a light on all of the good in the world. Heaven knows we hear enough of the bad!
In my opinion, all of this could only have happened with some divine intervention. Those first couple months, I felt an undeniable peace and guidance that I can’t explain. We found ourselves just knowing how we should respond to inquiries and how to approach Bridger’s recovery in the most positive ways possible.
For the first time I understood what people meant when they said, “I felt your prayers”. I could literally feel the strengthening and guiding influence that came as a result of those prayers. I could feel my Savior comforting me, lifting me, guiding me, and speaking hope to my soul. I could not have made it through on my own!
This experience has inspired us to work on the project that we will announce tomorrow! It is just the beginning of our efforts to give back to the world that did so much for us. I can’t wait to share it with you! 😘

In the meantime, enjoy some of our summer adventures: Our new axolotl. He`s super social and loves to come out and say hi when people come in. Hiking, swimming, paddleboarding, kid-safe paintballs, and just lots of fun time together. This is my favorite time of year, and it always goes too fast!

I can’t stop staring at my adorable kids. 😍😍😍 They insisted on bringing the dogs, and I was skeptical that we’d get any good photos, but all of my favorites have the dogs in them. 😂 Our family is utter chaos, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! 🤩 Thanks for putting up with us Shelbi!

Wit and I got to cheer for Bridger at his track meet yesterday! He did the long jump, relay, and 50 meter dash. He did so well, and more importantly, had a blast! He’ll be going to a different school next year, so it was bitter sweet to see him with all the amazing friends he has made.
There was a lot of time between events, and Wit couldn’t resist all the dandelions. 😍🥰 I love hearing the random things he wishes for. 😂

Bridger loves collecting things and his newest love is @drinkprime. I don’t understand it at all, but he loves it, and is constantly keeping tabs on the new flavors and “rare” bottles.
He only has 3 things on his Christmas wish list:(none of which are particularly expensive, all of which we can afford, we are not in any way asking for help with Christmas! Just wondering what the masses think about this…)
So here is my dilemma. The KSI Prime was a limited edition in the UK for a couple months. It is now going for about $50-60 PER BOTTLE! My mama taught me to be frugal, so I balk at the idea of spending that much on a bottle of glorified juice. However, he’s not asking for much, this is what he wants, and it is within my means to obtain. What to do, what to do?!?!?! 🤷♀️🤦♀️😂

I apologize in advance if you get weird messages from me like Mylee did today… 😂😂😂 For context, Mylee is learning Korean and Wit likes to push her buttons. The next two pictures were messages he sent to my husband. I’m worried not knowing who else he might have texted… 😅😅😅
