Summer update: if you follow @robertwalker307 then you probably already know we have big news to share… But this isn`t it… We`ll keep you in suspense a little longer! (July 9th to be exact!) 😅
In the meantime, enjoy some of our summer adventures: Our new axolotl. He`s super social and loves to come out and say hi when people come in. Hiking, swimming, paddleboarding, kid-safe paintballs, and just lots of fun time together. This is my favorite time of year, and it always goes too fast!

I love these new family photos by @shelbibaileyphotography! I can’t stop staring at my adorable kids. 😍😍😍 They insisted on bringing the dogs, and I was skeptical that we’d get any good photos, but all of my favorites have the dogs in them. 😂 Our family is utter chaos, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! 🤩 Thanks for putting up with us Shelbi!
Looking at this picture, you wouldn’t know that they spent the whole day bickering! 😂 There were also lots of giggles and fun, but it’s easy to let the frustration overshadow the good stuff. I’m grateful for the moments that remind me they really do love each other.
Today was pretty great! I’m so grateful I got to spend it with family, and I’m extra grateful for the brave men and women whose sacrifice has made it possible for me to enjoy freedom. Happy Memorial Day!!! 💕
Wit and I got to cheer for Bridger at his track meet yesterday! He did the long jump, relay, and 50 meter dash. He did so well, and more importantly, had a blast! He’ll be going to a different school next year, so it was bitter sweet to see him with all the amazing friends he has made.
There was a lot of time between events, and Wit couldn’t resist all the dandelions. 😍🥰 I love hearing the random things he wishes for. 😂
Oh great! Now they want an alpaca… 😅🤩 Thanks to the gentleman from @sawdustalpaca for taking the time to let the kids pet his alpacas and answer all of our questions. You made our day!
Spring break with cousins in Cali! 😍 It was time for a girls trip (plus Wit 😂). Where did Brielle want to go? To visit her BFF Aunt Nicole of course! @nicolenoelwalker
What would you do? Here’s the context:
Bridger loves collecting things and his newest love is @drinkprime. I don’t understand it at all, but he loves it, and is constantly keeping tabs on the new flavors and “rare” bottles.
He only has 3 things on his Christmas wish list:(none of which are particularly expensive, all of which we can afford, we are not in any way asking for help with Christmas! Just wondering what the masses think about this…)
So here is my dilemma. The KSI Prime was a limited edition in the UK for a couple months. It is now going for about $50-60 PER BOTTLE! My mama taught me to be frugal, so I balk at the idea of spending that much on a bottle of glorified juice. However, he’s not asking for much, this is what he wants, and it is within my means to obtain. What to do, what to do?!?!?! 🤷♀️🤦♀️😂

😂😅Wit (4 yrs old) has voice to text figured out, but his pad is linked to my phone. I apologize in advance if you get weird messages from me like Mylee did today… 😂😂😂 For context, Mylee is learning Korean and Wit likes to push her buttons. The next two pictures were messages he sent to my husband. I’m worried not knowing who else he might have texted… 😅😅😅
So many amazing and inspiring individuals here at the 2023 WBC Convention in Tashkent, Uzbekistan! It has been wonderful to see old friends and make new ones. 💕
What an honor for Bridger to get to award the “Bravest Woman on Earth” award to boxer @dayanasanchez515, who was burned in a house fire. Her reaction to adversity is inspirational. What a beautiful human being! 💕

Also, I have so much love and respect for the WBC family. The care and concern they show their boxers is incredible. I’m so grateful they have welcomed us into the family and have showered Bridger with that same care and concern. What a blessing they are to the world! @wbcboxing
Robert and Bridger were invited to a local middle school to talk about how we’re all connected within a worldwide community, and how little acts of service can make a big difference in someone’s life and in the world.

I love to bake, so it’s only natural that our oven AND microwave would both break while Robert has been gone for work for this month. That’s just my luck! 😭🤦♀️😂
It had to be fixed! I do a lot around the house, but Robert has always been the handyman, so this was a new experience for me. Gotta say, I’m kind of proud of myself! 😆👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Of course, I HAD to bake some cookies to make sure I fixed it right! 😂
I’ve been counting down the days until his return (only 3 to go!), and I have a newfound respect and empathy for military wives and single moms (or dads!) Seriously, you guys are incredible! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
This was my favorite moment from Johnny’s first ever wrestling tournament: the kid Johnny just beat gave him such a heartfelt hug, reminding me that what mattered most today was not how many matches were won.
We’ve been to a few Jiujitsu tournaments where our boys have cried after losing. And who can blame them? They put in a lot of hours training. The time, effort, focus, and sometimes pain… they put a lot of themselves into it. It only makes sense then that there would be a lot of emotion in a loss; that they might question what they did wrong or how they weren’t good enough. It becomes personal.
To be able to push that emotion aside and be happy for your opponent, I think is truly remarkable. What a great kid! May we all be genuinely happy and excited for the successes and good fortune of those around us. When we lift each other up, we reach greater heights.
I’m also super proud of Johnny for taking on the challenge to learn a new skill. Watching my kids do the things they love is one of my favorite things! 🤩
Love- it has been on my mind this week. My heart has been heavy watching my kids grieve, but then also seeing the events going on in the world.
I think it no accident that God’s two greatest commandments involve love… First, love God with all your heart, soul, and mind. Second, love your neighbor as yourself.
1- Love God
2- Love your neighbor
3- Love yourself
Love. More love. With more love comes less of a lot of things. Less pride. Less greed. Less jealousy and hate. I know the world I want to live in is filled with love.
We all have opinions, some of them very strong. As we express them- lead with love. As we listen- listen to understand- with love. This is the way we overcome differences. Just… love.
Matthew 22: 37-39
37. Jesus said unto him, thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38. This is the first and great commandment.
39. And the second is like until it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
We said goodbye to Thor today. I have no words to describe the bond between these two. Thor wasn’t just a dog. He was Johnny’s best friend. What a blessing to have experienced such unconditional love. It makes the hurt we feel now worthwhile.

It is Spirit Week at school, and today is Barbie/Ken day. Brielle was so excited she woke up 2 hours early to pick her outfit and get ready. 😂😂😂 #nailedit though! Bridger as Ken just made it all the better. I love their enthusiasm; they are so fun!
This sweet bird flew into the kitchen window as Bridger was making cookies. Concerned, he ran outside to check on it and came in sobbing to tell me the bird wasn’t moving. He thought it was dead.
Thankfully, it wasn’t dead. It let me pick him up and hold him a minute before flying off again.
I was reminded of one of Bridger’s heroic qualities: his big heart full of love. He teaches me to love more fully, completely, and unconditionally. 💕
I just had a rare moment where it became obvious that something I’ve tried to teach my kids had sunk in. 🤩🙌🏻🎉 I’m a bit of a perfectionist, so it’s easy to get discouraged, but our efforts make a difference, even if we can’t see it at the time!
A little context… We believe in the same organization that existed when Jesus set up His church while He was on the earth… We have a living prophet and apostles who we believe speak to God and receive guidance from Him for His people.
I decided as a young mom that if I believed this was true, then it would be important for my kids to recognize these men we believe are called of God. So, I printed off their pictures and began teaching my kids. When Bridger was 3, he could identify all of them! Even little Brielle had fun with it (as you can see in the video though, she thought they all were Elder Eyring 😂). But life got busy, and it’s been a while since we’ve reviewed them.
Twice a year our church holds a general conference where these men speak, and I look forward to the wisdom I gain and the peace I feel.
Today I got a text from Mylee. She takes an early morning seminary class before school, and they were talking about the upcoming conference this weekend. She said she was the only one in her class who could identify all of the apostles.
It was just a little thing, but I’m grateful for the reminder that my kids do in fact, on occasion, listen to me. 😂
2 Nephi 25:26 “And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophecy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.

Bridger’s story seems to be making the rounds again, and I am glad so many find it inspiring. I think it is important to remember though that our lives are not defined by any single moment- good or bad.
Heroism is in the little acts you do every day to put others before yourself. You are a hero every day to the people you show up for.
I think I’ll start sharing my kids’ other heroic moments; the moments when they choose to be kind or helpful. The ones that remind me I’m not completely failing as a mom. 😂
